Focus Nature-Friendly Leaders Program 2024-2025 Term Has Started!

As Focus Foundation, we started the 2024-2025 term of our Nature-Friendly Leaders Program with an orientation event held at our foundation center in Kadıköy. We left behind this special day, which was full of information for our participants and provided them with opportunities to get to know each other and socialize.

In the first step of the program, we started by delivering camping supplies to the students. Then, we came together with the meet and greet events we organized. Focus Foundation founder Burak Özberk shared the story of our foundation, its purpose and our journey to build a sustainable future with our participants. Our foundation manager Zeynep Morelli talked about the main goals of the program and how we will introduce the concept of ecological citizenship.

During the orientation, we met with our participants at Kumin Vegan Restaurant and had a delicious vegan meal. After the meal, our graduate Serra Beldağ gave an informative session on the "Leave No Trace" principles that we will attach great importance to throughout the program.

Later in the day, we organized a workshop that taught knot tying skills that will make life easier in nature. Our participants were equipped with new knowledge and skills with the support of our graduates Alhas Can Arslan, Yaşar Maden and Damla Akyüz.

As Focus Foundation, we are happy to be with you on this long and meaningful journey we have embarked on to raise leaders in harmony with nature. With such valuable events, we aim to create a stronger ecological awareness both individually and socially.
