As part of the Focus Foundation's Nature-Friendly Leaders Program, we organize optional activities for our participants to improve themselves, establish a stronger bond with nature and gain new experiences. The first of these activities was the Köroğlu Summit Climb in Bolu.

On the first day of our event, we set up camp at Göksu Nature Park and integrated with nature. We prepared our own vegan meals and implemented both solidarity and sustainable living practices. At night, we gathered around the campfire, chatted, read poems and established strong bonds between the participants.

The next morning, after an energetic breakfast, we packed up our campsite and started our journey towards Mount Köroğlu. At an altitude of 1600 meters, a snow-covered landscape welcomed us, turning our first trekking experience into a very challenging route. Although we aimed to reach the summit, we decided to turn back in the last 60 meters. Being a mountain climber means accepting the conditions of nature and knowing at what point to turn back.

During this challenging but educational experience, we understood once again the importance of being a team, accepting nature and adapting to the conditions that nature offers. As the Focus Foundation, we are proud to support our participants in developing themselves by gaining new experiences in nature.

On this path that we set out on with the aim of raising leaders in harmony with nature, each experience we offer is a turning point for us. We continue to work to ensure that our participants develop a stronger ecological awareness both individually and socially.
